Edge Staffing are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Drivers (HGV C+E) for ongoing work with our client in the Gateshead area. We are looking for both day drivers and trampers for this contract. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right drivers.
Work is available from both the Gateshead and Birtley depots.
Pay Rates
- Agency: £15.85 - £17.76 per hour (breaks paid)
- £25 night out allowance (PNO)
- Full-time salary potential: £42,000–£50,000 per year
The Role
- General haulage work (Curtain siders)
- Ongoing work available Monday to Friday
Class 1 Driver Requirements
- Minimum 12 months’ Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
- Must have held Class 1 licence for at least 2 years
- Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
- No more than 6 penalty points (no DR or IN codes)
- Strong knowledge of UK road laws and safe driving practices
- Reliable, professional, and positive attitude
