The Role
We are looking for a hands-on and driven Warehouse Improvement Manager to join the business on a 3-month fixed-term contract. Working closely with the Operations Manager, this role will focus on enhancing warehouse efficiency by embedding processes, driving consistency, and supporting teams to meet operational KPIs.
This is a highly visible, shop-floor-based role requiring someone who can lead from the front, engage teams, and deliver practical improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Operations Manager to improve day-to-day warehouse performance
- Embed and standardise processes and operational procedures
- Support teams in achieving KPIs, productivity, and service targets
- Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, driving engagement and accountability
- Manage and support team performance through coaching and leadership
- Identify inefficiencies and implement practical process improvements
- Support operational change initiatives and wider continuous improvement projects
- Monitor performance and implement corrective actions where required
- Promote a safety-first culture across the site
- Collaborate with internal functions including Customer Service, Purchasing, and Sales
Skills & Experience
- Proven leadership experience within warehouse, logistics, or distribution environments
- Hands-on management style with strong shop-floor engagement
- Experience driving process improvements and operational change
- Strong people management and performance accountability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience supporting change projects or system/process implementations
- Practical problem-solver with a proactive approach
- Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
