Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Highways

Recruit 360 are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a well-established civil engineering and highways contractor based on the Wirral.

This is an excellent opportunity for either a Graduate / Assistant QS looking to progress their career, or an experienced Quantity Surveyor with highways and NEC contract experience.

The role will involve working predominantly across highways contracts, supporting commercial activities from project award through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the commercial management of highways projects
  • Managing subcontractor accounts and valuations
  • Preparing cost reports, forecasts and final accounts
  • Handling variations and change management
  • Supporting procurement of subcontractors and materials
  • Working closely with operational teams to ensure projects remain within budget
  • Managing NEC contract administration

Requirements

  • Previous experience within highways, civils or infrastructure projects
  • Understanding of NEC contracts (NEC3 / NEC4 preferred)
  • Strong commercial awareness and communication skills
  • Degree qualified or working towards a Quantity Surveying qualification (ideal but not essential)
  • Open to Graduate, Assistant or fully qualified QS backgrounds
